The CampingCar Portugal project arose from the need that two companions and friends, Luis Almeida e Paulo Rosa felt, on the one hand, boost a site on motor caravaning, already with some months of exhistence, but at the time, almost stagnant in terms of development and updating, and on the other, ensure the continuity of a sucessful Fórum, the Fórum CampCar, very participated, characterised by a strong spirit of, friendship, fellowship and dedication to motor caravaning activities.

From words to action was a quick and decisive step,and in November of 2005, at the time of Campisport was presented the project «CampingCar Portugal – O Portal Português de Caravanismo e Autocaravanismo» - The Portuguese Portal (principal frontspice) of Motor and Caravaning of the World Wide Web.

We created a simpler space, but dynamic, with the maximum useful information on permanent upgrading clearly organized with a structure that allows quick and easy access.

Our sole aim is the promotion and dissemination of this itinerant tourism, in booming expansion accross Europe, as well as a search of ideas and solutions to improve the conditions of hosting and technical stops connected with this activity in our country .

The start of the year 2008 saw an adjustment in the main purposes of this project:the CampingCar Portugal evolves itself as «O Portal Português de Autocaravanismo».

Conditions associated with the internal organization of the operative team were reunited, and the project became centered on two essential objectives:

1. Conduct efforts for the promotting of motor caravan travelling, as a form of Itinerant Tourism

2. Intensifying the disclosure of motor caravaning, under the perspective of touring activity

Currently, about a dozen of companions cooperate actively with us, without any other interest than that of the promotion and divulging, of the motor caravaning praticalities.

Allways with complete independence and impartiality. And we make it our bond!

The number of participations to this site, the growing number of their members taking part in the fórum, and the continuing success that of the meetings of the Camping CarPortugal have been achieving, in addition to the natural incentive they represent to us, confirm, if any doubts remained, the success of our bet.
